CLUB LIFE

While golf is a major part of the club, many other recreational activities are available. Minocqua Country Club is truly a place to gather with friends and enjoy a variety of activities. The social interaction and beautiful surroundings help make this club a unique experience in the Northwoods. With a private dock on Lake Minocqua, members can choose to avoid the streets and enjoy a boat ride to the Club for golf or dinner.

The club’s Social Committee is a very active part of the club, as is evident by the number of events held each season. From theme parties to organized kayak trips, the committee keeps plenty of activities available for everyone to enjoy.

The club features two tennis courts with windscreens, scoring masts and practice wall. The courts are also marked for Pickleball and all the equipment is on hand. In addition to the courts, Bocci is available at the Clubhouse. Ladies come together weekly for Tuesday Bridge games, in addition to Monday and Thursday Mahjongg games.. 

No club would be complete without the services of a fine food and beverage operation. Minocqua Country Club is proud of its ability to offer anything from a casual sandwich to an elegant, full course meal. Lunch is served daily in season, as well as dinner most nights. Popular weekly specials include the Tuesday Theme Night, Wednesday Chicken Night, and Friday Fish Fry, as well as theme meals tying in with club functions. A full service bar that serves drinks just the way you like them only adds to your dining pleasure.

The club’s history dates back to its opening of the 9-hole course and clubhouse in 1917. Through the years, it proved to be a great destination for those looking to escape the Chicago and Milwaukee area. Dwight D. Eisenhower spent time playing golf and fishing Lake Minocqua. In 1998, the shareholders of the club approved expansion into a 18-hole course and Ron Garl was hired to lead the design.
